We are excited for the 16th annual AUCCCO conference in Atlanta, GA on June 14 - 16, 2023! Our theme for this conference is Reclaim. Rest. Rise Up.

We are delighted to head to Atlanta for our AUCCCO conference. Atlanta is described as the “The Cradle of the modern Civil Rights Movement” and is home to many Universities and Colleges including some prominent Historically Black Colleges and Universities who are engaging in some inspiring outreach work. Each of your voices matter and we want to celebrate all the work you are doing! As we are getting ready to gather, we invite you to highlight your efforts by presenting at the conference. This is a crucial time for us to reclaim our expertise and knowledge, center our need to rest and care for ourselves as we care for others, and to rise up to recognize our roots as advocates committed to equity, justice and the inclusion of under-represented populations in our communities. We would like this conference to ground us in our purpose and identities as outreach professionals.
Possible topics for consideration might include, and are not limited to, the following:
  • Social Justice, equity and inclusion focused programming and initiatives
  • Self-care strategies for outreach professionals
  • Navigating university and UCC politics
  • Your biggest and best outreach initiatives
  • Outreach utilizing a virtual world
  • The power of community
  • Cultural-considerations and outreach to under-represented populations
  • Innovative ideas for a new decade
  • Getting buy-in and advocating for prevention efforts with campus leaders and administration
  • Ways you have led campus culture change on your campus
  • Tried and true, essentials for new and all outreach professionals
  • One person shop, how to guide to outreach in a small center / institution
